“IU5 has assets across 80 locations in all sizes of buildings, so the ability to have virtual layouts of these places showing the assets within is a great feature. Even more so is being able to assign devices to people within their locations, and any other data including attaching documents.”
"Thank you for the training session today. It was very informative. We all agreed that Parago is very user friendly with so many functions that we can tailor to our needs for effective asset management."
“Parago has produced time saving for many of our staff. For instance, our school tech team can now scan and assign 350 of our student devices within 45 minutes with the Parago app. A great time saver. In terms of money saving, we use Parago to assign our 1:1 student devices to students. Our IT and Inventory loss from this take-home technology program is now down to less than $5,000 out of more than $2.4m worth of devices used by students. This is less than the district’s loss of textbooks, and as an accountable government department, we are very pleased with this result. The reporting function of Parago also enables us to know exactly where e-rate funding has been spent, and where those devices are located.”
"At Alleghany School District in North Carolina we had been struggling to manage our 1,000’s of IT and Inventory assets across schools in spreadsheets. This is time consuming especially when it comes to audits, and we had concerns if we had an insurance claim. When we saw Parago we were taken at first look. It’s visual appeal, and control of assets through its app technology made us realise we could save time and money. It’s discovery agent is letting us know how much memory each device has, and our ability to produce reports on lifetime audit trails, missing assets and warranty expiry enables us to put replacement strategies in place as a district. It also has many other modules such as facilities and Helpdesk which make it even better value which we are looking into using as a district."
"Mount Prospect District 57 is a four school district in Illinois with over 2,000 students. We manage hundreds of Chromebooks for our students, and many other IT assets located throughout the schools. We looked at three asset management solutions when we purchased Parago, but there were some distinctive features to Parago that made it stand out from the others. Firstly it’s graphical user interface made it easy to use, and we liked the way you can have the layout of your schools with assets linked to rooms or people. It lets you have a real time view of where your assets are, and what assets members of staff should have. We also wanted an inventory and Helpdesk solution, so the fact that Parago offered both in one System was a major benefit. The reports module enables you to manipulate standard reports, so that they can accommodate the needs of technical support and administration departments. This helps us produce procurement forecasts based on depreciated value, age or end of warranty."
“We came across Parago as it focused on education, although at the time most of their 2,000 schools and districts were in the UK. Its object orientated design was like no other we were looking at, and it gave it a really easy to use feel. Parago offers the ability to manage any kind of asset, not just IT. This is very useful as most education users will have valuable assets that they need to track and rent out that are non IT. The assets are identified by icons which makes it easy; They have icons for everything from a bed to a buggy. We are very impressed with the Parago solution and are delighted that Parago Software Inc. sales and support office will be based in Atlanta.”
“At East Pennsboro Area School District we were in need of an asset management solution to manage and track the increasing level of IT equipment in schools, as well as teacher and student devices. I had seen a demonstration of Parago by the heads of technology from IU5 at the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference., who have been using the system for a couple of years. I was drawn to features such as the app and agent discovery technology, and how the system keeps an audit history of an assets movements and data changes all the way through to end of life. It was obvious it was developed with education, and I believe this is important as it shows the company understands our specific needs. We are now importing all our asset details from spreadsheets, which is another feature that is saving us time.”
"We have been using Parago for our asset management at Somers Central School District for a year now. We looked at several other software companies, but we were all initially attracted to the Parago GUI and visual feel. They offered a free trial with support, which allowed us to be sure it was the right solution for us. The products many appealing features made the price very competitive. The support that Parago have given us during our first year has been great- they have really listened to our suggestions for development. We will be recommending Parago to any district that is looking into solutions to track and manage their IT and assets."
“We came across Parago as they are very well known particularly in the UK, but also worldwide for their asset management solutions within education. We were very drawn to its ease of use through an icon-based platform, and this has made considerable savings on training costs usually associated with deploying management systems. The use of smartphone apps through cloud-based technology is a fantastic way to manage IT inventory and simplifies the assignment of one-to-one devices across multiple schools. We felt Parago took security very seriously, especially the ability to be able to restrict individual user’s abilities to specific areas of the system. The umbrella ‘District Account Manager’ module enables us to move inventory and report across multiple schools and these features are invaluable when doing annual audits.”
"We’ve been keeping track of our IT inventory in Parago across 17 schools since 2009. Our technicians find the smartphone app easy to use, and working through cloud technology dramatically reduces their workload by enabling them to quickly add, move, edit or audit the IT in their schools."
